Halifax West High School 2011-12 Rotating Friday Cycle Semester
2
Attention Grade 12's
Prom Tickets will be
available for ONE final day ONLY. If you want to
purchase a prom ticket the last day to buy them
will be FRIDAY, MAY 25. You MUST have your
permission forms signed by a parent/guardian
before purchasing a ticket.
See Ms. Rodgers in room
C129 before school, after school OR at lunch on
Friday, May 25. There will be NO tickets
available before OR after May 25.

Yearbook
Yearbook are now on sale in the
main office. Reserve your copy today! $50 cash
or cheque.
Are you
interested in being part of the yearbook committee next
year? If so, please pick up an application in the main
office. There are lots of positions available including
Editor, Layout Editor, Photographer, Advertising & Sales
etc. Completed applications are due back to the main office
by May 25th.
The
Torch 2011-2012 preparation is underway! The yearbook
committee would love to include photos taken by students!
If you have photos of school events, clubs, sporting events
etc... submit them to our email account:
hwhsyearbook@student.ednet.ns.ca Yearbook sales will be
starting soon!

Information re “S Trips” and “BreakAway Tour Trips”
Parents/Guardians are advised that “S Trips” and
“BreakAway Tour Trips” are
NOT SCHOOL TRIPS.
These trips are organized by students. There is
no
connection with the school; there are
no
teacher chaperones; there is
no
Halifax West adult/school supervision. If your child
has brought home a sign-up form for a “school trip”
for next year, please be advised that these are
not
school trips.

Semester 2, 2012 HRSB Night School Courses
Need Math 12 Academic, Chemistry 12 or Physics 12 for
post-secondary program or looking to upgrade your mark?
Check this out.
Each night school
course is held 2 nights a week for a 3 hour session
(short break included) and completed in one semester.
Courses are limited and are subject to change each year.
Classes are held at Citadel High School, Tuesday and
Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. Contact the FLECS
administrative office at 832-8630 for registration
procedures and cost or go to

For February - June , 2012 (Semester 2), the following
courses are offered at Night School: Math 12 Academic ,
Chemistry 12 and Physics 12. You must have the
prerequisite courses to register.

currently being sold for 50$. Order forms are due Friday March
2nd with either cash or a cheque.
Forms can be picked up in and returned to the main office.

The YHC is open most days and students may drop in for an
